“Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:his mercy endureth forever.” -Psalm 107:1 KJV

Are you completely stuffed with Turkey yet? How about pie? ‘Tis the season right? ☺

It is the season of cheer, joy, giving, and thankfulness. I love Christmas time! It is my all time favorite time of year! (Well for David and I, the Christmas Season starts about the 3rd weekend in October, and goes through the end of the year, and Thanksgiving falls in the middle there and is when the rest of America starts celebrating Christmas☺) And this time of year is when we all take time to really show our Thankfulness for all we have, and thankfulness to God who gave it to us.

So what am I thankful for? Well just to name a few things: first I am thankful for my salvation and my relationship with our Heavenly Father. I am thankful for living in a country where I am free to openly worship God who provided me with that salvation. I am thankful that God provided me with an amazing husband who loves me, prays for me, supports me in all endeavors, is a strong spiritual leader of our family and leads our family based on God’s word and not his own opinions. I am thankful for our families and how precious they are to us. I am thankful I was raised in a Christian home by Godly parents who taught me about God’s love and goodness. And I am thankful for all the everyday blessings of life that God so graciously provides for me (I won’t name all these individually because we would be here until Jesus comes). And I am also thankful for all of you who pray for us and pray for our ministry efforts.

We have so much to be thankful for! Just as our scripture says Give thanks-His mercy endureth forever. God did not send Jesus to die for us and then once we accept him in our hearts say ok you got it now have a nice life – No Way! Even though if he did do that we would still owe him everything becuase we would be saved from eternity in hell, but HE DID NOT DO THAT! He provides for us, and walks with us everyday. He protects us, restores us, encourages us, heals us, guides us, delivers us, forgives us over and over and over and over again…. God did not just save us and walk away, but will be with us all the way to the end (Matthew 28:20)!

So let us not forget that just as God is always with us and his grace and mercy continually extend to us, we should continually extend our thanks to him, and our praise and worship of thanksgiving should always go to him.

Our prayer is that God may richly bless you and your family in this season. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Dear God,

Thank you for all of your goodness. Your blessings are perpetual, and you have flooded us with more than we could ever ask for! Help us to be constant in our Thanksgiving, day in and day out, and not just because we feel a man made holiday says we should. We love you God, and bless and extol your name forever! Amen
